Freelancers, unite!

Congratulations! You've gathered the moxy to ditch your 9-6 cubicle job! - but then you got bored out of you mind working alone at home - and then you got crowded in and over-caffinated at the local coffee shop. - You miss the camraderie and nice printer at the office, but not the boss - You realize there has to be a better way to work.

There is! It's called coworking.

Coworking at The Tink Tank allows you to leave behind all stuff you didn't like about your old job, but regain all of the stuff you did like about the office - with the added advantage of cool people working on cool projects.

We also hold various events at our space and are happy to consider making our facilities available for event hosting.

Hacker Space

For those who love to tinker as much as we do, we are extremely excited about our future hacker space/community workshop/tech dojo that we're putting together downstairs. We're working on getting a laser cutter/engraver for the workshop, and look forward to our members teaching classes on Web Design, building robots, designing interactive art, iPhone development, knitting hats, making wearable electronics, etc.

Our biggest challenge to getting the downstairs space running is landing the funding to get that drool-worthy laser cutter/etcher (turns out, they're not so cheap, and loans are hard to come by these days).

Thankfully, you can help us reach that goal by helping us show the bank how great of a demand there is for access to such an awesome tool in Asheville.
